"Food Inc." Written Reflection Assignment:
Watch the film online for FREE if you missed a day or need to watch part of it again
(You can read more about the film and it's makers here:  http://www.takepart.com/foodinc)
Here's what you need to do:
  • Review the notes you took while we watched the film in class to make sure you have a clear idea about which economic concepts your going to reflect on in your reflection paper.
  • Write 2-3 paragraphs explaining the economic concepts you saw in the film and how they work.
  • You can write, type, email, or Google Doc your assignment to me... as long as you get it done on time!
Here's what I will be looking for when I grade your paper
  1. Are there at least TWO paragraphs?
  2. Is it clear that you focused on AT LEAST 2 economic concepts from class?
  3. Does your writing show that you clearly understand the concepts you focused on?
  4. Does your writing show that you used the economic concepts to understand the information presented in a more thoughtful and analytical manner?
IN OTHER WORDS...DON'T just explain what the movie was about or how gross it was.  Write about the economic forces that drive food companies to the extremes they have gone to.  Use economic reasoning to explain the situation and what is/isn't wrong with it.
