NEWSELA is a great web-based tool we will use throughout the semester to take a closer look at economics and current events.  You can read more about Newsela here.
KEEP READING TO SEE HOW WE'LL USE NEWSELA IN CLASS!

  • Students receive "in-class/participation points" for signing in to their Newsela account and completing the article assignments listed there.
  • Some articles have quizzes that need to be taken.  Students receive credit for TAKING these quizzes regardless of what their score is on the quiz.
  • Each student should create a Newsela account by going to www.newsela.com and clicking on "Sign In/Register"
  • When you register you will be asked for a "Class Code".  They are as follows:
    1st Hour:  JRQLE
    4th Hour:  QNBQK
    6th Hour:  TTSBS
  • You may use any username or email address you prefer!
